Anton Burge

Writer, actor and voice coach Anton Burge has written ten plays championing roles for women in theatre. His work has been performed worldwide and includes Bette & Joan, starring Greta Scacchi and Anita Dobson {West End}, Storm in a Flower Vase, starring Penny Downie {West End} and Mrs. Pat, starring Dame Penelope Keith {Chichester Festival Theatre}. His most recent play, Year of the Virgin, was read at The Charing Cross Theatre, London, starring Sian Thomas. His book, Portraying Elizabeth, was published in 2020, a study of depictions of Elizabeth I, including interviews with Glenda Jackson, Dame Eileen Atkins, Dame Harriet Walter and Miranda Richardson. Future productions include Lady Mosley’s Suite {read at the Trafalgar Studios with Patricia Hodge and Emilia Fox} and Curtsey {read at The Park Theatre with Sophie Ward and Sylvestra le Touzel}.

As an actor his work has included voice-overs for Channel 4, Film 4 and Sky Arts.

His coaching comprises working with companies and individuals, from the arts and business worlds, challenging their fear of public speaking, giving everyone the chance to become stronger communicators.
